File Uploads

My goal here is to see what I can upload.

A Text File

In theory I did upload a text file. but I'm not sure how it gets displayed in the topic.

to upload the file, you have to:

  1. Edit the topic
  2. Click on the picture frame icon (4th from left). This opens a window which lets you select and upload a file.
  3. click on the icon next to the file to insert it into your document.
  4. Once the link is in your document, you can close the upload window.

The link will appear in y our document looking like:

 {{filename.ext|File Name Desc}}

The actual file will look like this: Puzzle Text file in the doc.

Note: apparently indenting is enough to cause this wiki to print the text as a “quote block” and ignore the formatting.

Office Docs

Office docs are uploaded in exactly the same way as text documents, HOWEVER, they show up as links with their file types. And there is no document version control.1)

Put an Excel Document on the server.

Image Files

Image files are a bit different. Image files can be displayed directly in the document. bonsai tree You can make images links. bonsai tree With the following syntax:

 [[http://www.google.com|{{bonsai.gif|bonsai tree}}]]
